I'm pretty minimal when it comes to clothes. It's that checked bag of hardware that I have to control myself with. 50 lbs limit.

I once went to Ambergris Caye in Belize and brought a pair of flip flops. Wore them on the plane and didn't put them back on until 17 days later when I got back on the plane! So to me 1 pair is enough?

kind of think it's a personal thing - no right or wrong answer. I've seen people bring two pairs of shorts for a week and 4 shirts. I could never go away
for a week and do it with a carry on. More power to you if you can! I like to dress casually but also kind of the way I do at home. So, if I bring 6 pairs I
personally don't think I'm doing it wrong - just the way I like to pack and dress

This made me LOL!! If you are anything like me I would recommend at least 4-5 pairs as I tend to kick them off in the sand and after a rum punch or two forget about them until then next day by which time they are long gone. Our last trip I did the whole day on the black river and pelican bar with no shoes at all!!!!

I'm with Mo - one for the beach, one for evening - but I try to do only carryon, so my space is limited....

I brought 5 pair (wore one pair down). I could have brought 2. LOL A beach pair - for the rare times I put shoes on!! And then a cute (and comfy) for evening. I think I asked the same question before I went because I was trying hard to cut down on what I packed. I was told, only bring 2 and didn't listen. Should have!

Best advice I got from this site..." pack 1/2 the clothes and twice the money!"
