ATI in Easter 2012?
No, not really but there is a buzz around town about Negril Easter weekend 2012 and it's being dubbed 'The Great Escape'. 4 days, 7 (seven) yes, 7 parties! All the major western promoters are involved and the sponsors are signing on.
They are using terms like 'Brand Negril' and 'Negril Renaissance' . With all the major Westend projects going on I can agree with the later. Canoe is expanding, The Spa (resort) is coming along, The Yatch club was purchased recently and rumor has it- so was Crystal Rose. Not to mention the work taking place on that purple&white restaurant/club on the waterfront just past love boat. With a major event to draw the Spring Break crowds back, Negril may really take off again in 5 years or so.
If The Great Escape can draw 1/4 of the tourist that ATI does it can be huge, given the Islanders that always flock Negril for major holidays.
I have my fingers crossed.
