In my opinion, this is less about age and more about life experience - Example - Last week when I was down, there were a couple young buff guys (mid-20's my guess) that were repeat visitors. "Experienced" tourists. He came by to visit the porch one night around 10 pm and had clearly had a really good time all day. His friend was passed out back in the room. He relayed a story about the night before at about 3 am he had gone for a walk on the beach and so many higglers had come out of "nowhere" in the bush and were being so aggressive that he ended up running at full speed back to the hotel. I mentioned that even back in SoCal, you don't walk in certain areas by yourself at 3 am unless you are looking for trouble. So, now the very next night he was going to walk back down to Bourbon Beach (from Treehouse) by himself, inebriated. I tried not to "Mom" him to death but I ended up slipping a few bucks with a local friend to go with him. I wouldn't have been able to sleep otherwise. Next day after both guys had shown themselves to be alive, the Visitor mentioned to me how much safer he felt all evening - fewer working girls at the bar bothered him, NO higglers had stopped him on the way home and that he was thankful for the backup.
