Dear Boardie Bashers,

Sorry for the delay in this thank you but we had an unfortunate event in our lives. Our Deacon at Mary Gate of Heaven, Sam Spragg, died after suffering a stroke. Sam was a very kind and gentle man, a retired school teacher and principal and a JP. He is incredibly well known in he local community and will be very much missed. Please keep Sam and his family in your prayers.

It was really nice to be at the Boardie Bach and to meet so many folks and put a face to a name like DASH or CALGARY2. Many contributed something in support of St. Anthony's Kitchen and our Get Kids to School program. Please accept my profound gratitude. Some folks were slipping me cash which I deposited into the pocket of my cargo shorts. When I got home and emptied my pocket I was delighted to find a neatly folded USD$150. I already had a smile on my face (might have been the result of the Red Stripes) and when I saw it I got an even more smile! Thanks to you...and to all of you who support our ministry to the poor here in Negril. The support comes all year long and we are so grateful. For example, one couple at the Bash sponsor a sweet little boy in our Get Kids to School program. They hooked up at church on Sunday--talk about precious moments! Thanks to Rob for getting me onto Negril.com and for all the support and to all of you. We pray for our benefactors all the time. Peace and all good! --Fadder Jim
