You could also text them, one trip due to delays I had a crazy itinerary change, I stayed in touch with them by text at every layover, they responded each time.

I would use the form. That's what they've requested. They may have a spam filter that ignores other stuff. I had a reply in hours. But I used the form.

To clarify... I've not received a confirmation maybe 1-2X in well over 20 bookings w/ Clive over many years. I e-mailed & let them know vs. submitting a reservation again. I would not reserve via e-mail, just to follow up if I don't get a confirmation. Hope that helps.
If he's already submitted the request through the website 2X, it would be perfectly acceptable to follow up w/ an e-mail.
