    Miss Normas...

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about Miss Norma's Room for Rent? I know I have passed it a million times, but some of these boutique places are blinks and I just cannot place it in my mind.

Its directly across the street from Alfreds. She has two small rooms, $25/30 a night. Double bed with clean matresses, cable tv,bathroom and fan. She will cook on request too. No need to worry about noise because her rooms are located towards the back of her property.

It's right across from Alfred's (mid beach) and next door to Miss Sonia's (great food). I've stayed there a few times and created that blogspot freebie website for her (no business relationship between us though, just exposing a cheap place to stay for others on a budget).

So...it's a cheap place to stay in a local yard...NOT A HOTEL/MOTEL/Holiday INN... If you like a living in the yard/yawd feel it might be the place for you. If you want fancy fancy and hot running water it's not the place for you. Norma has 2 rooms for rent, both with a double bed, bathroom and a small table with two chairs. Everything is clean (no bugs) but sure the heck not fancy. The rooms are private and wonderfully quiet in a jungle like setting only 30 yards from the beach road. Miss Norma's adult kids and their kids live on the same property and they mind their own business. The little kids will not bother you or beg you up.....but....are more than happy to entertain you if you want to play ball with them or whatever. In all the nights I've spent there I have never had a thing missing and I suck at locking my door.

Side note- her puppies like all the other puppies in JA love to fuc with your shoes so don't leave an item of clothing outdoors! If you stay have her cook for you and also have Miss Sonia next door cook for you.

Might be good for when you take your son, other children might help him at those moments when he is bored.

I was thinking that too - but he's 14 going on 28- so I think my trip with him will be Coco or Grand Pineapple, maybe. Norma's fits the bill for my kind of vacay though! Peace and simplicity!
