It would really be a nice option to have. After a long day of flying it sucks having that long ride to Negril. On the other hand it would loose a lot of income for a lot of good people.

Very interesting... I could see it for a day trip to Negril or MoBay, but I couldn't see using it personally for airport transfers, too much trouble with luggage etc for meAnd I actually enjoy the drive...
The article doesn't say - will it carry vehicles or strictly passengers?
I agree. Might be a good day trip idea or an option for a few- but I imagine the cost of the ferry would be pricey and most will still elect to go by car.
I doubt it would save a lot of time to Negril. Transfers from airport to pier and Negril pier to hotel. A hassle with luggage. I might do it as a day trip though. It would be cool. I never have spent much time in Mobay.
Watching the headlines the last few years and as recently as a week or two ago. I am not eager to travel by ferry any where.
Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him. KJV Psalm 68:4
If I were an investor I wouldn't go for it - not in this economy
If it happens, they should use the existing pier in MoBay, not build another one
I have visions of giant jet skis pulling into Negril sideways....
Where in Negril is this thing going to dock with all of these people? How often? Kinda ruins the tranquil vibe.
Love the drive too much to take an off-shore boat ride.
Hope it docks way down past the A.I.'s
