What to be sure I see in negril?

Getting ready for a trip to negril in less than two weeks. 2nd time in Jamacia, first time we stayed at Trelawny in/near Ocho Rios.

The first time we visited, we saw...

1.) Dunns River Falls. This was amazing, but there's no way I'd be able to make it up this again. I have since lost my left leg above the knee.
2.) Martha Brae. This was a pretty neat little excursion, but we went on it right after a shower storm an the mosquitoes we terrible.
3.) Bob Marley's compound at 9 mile - Excellent tour, but outside of the compound was a little rough and very very competitive between vendors vieing for my attention.

So far, I've heard that Rick's is a must see. And that the one love pub crawl is something we can't miss. Also, we love nightlife and clubs with a local flair, without being too dangerous. I think we're staying very close to the Jungle so will go there for sure.

Any other recommendations? We have an 8 day /7 night visit. I think I heard that there is a place called Los Vegas?

The ride to the Rum Factory is nice and the tasting is nicer.

Take a boat ride to see the West End from the water, and do some snorkeling along the way (recommend Famous Vincent). Honestly, I'd skip Rick's and go to 3 Dives instead, it's much more "local" and has the same views, infinitely better food and nice owners.

Does 3 Dives have a ladder? If not, you could exit the boat ride you suggest at Xtabi. And I agree, have Vincent pick you up on the beach and shuttle you to the West End. Another great spot he could drop you off would be Ivan's for dinner. Just make sure it is after 5PM when they open to outside guest. Ivan's is two properties over from Rick's and is not a zoo like Rick's.

no ladder at Tree Dives........but over at Xtabi......

try to hit a concert......or at least one of the live shows in Negril........
Las Vegas is a Strip Club if that is your thing on the beach......gets roaring about 1AM
go up to the Cliffs just before Sunset and enjoy a nice Sunset....plenty of places to choose from.....
probably do the Pub Crawl as it's a great way to hit a lot of bars in a short period of time......
do one of those romantic meals like at Ivans, Rockhouse, Kuyaba, LTU, etc.......
as far as tours.....mi favorite one is Mayfield Falls...it's fun and only loose a half day doing it.....
hang at some of the beach bars......there are too many too list......
go out with Famous Vincent and go either snorkeling or a nice boat ride and see what Negril looks like from da wata......
go out and enjoy a nice breakfast.....enjoy dat Blue Mountain Coffee......and that fresh squeezed OJ.....
but whatever you do....look out for that OverProof Rum....or dat Special Cake......lol
    Enjoy!

Go grab some pork at Red Dragon. Mondays around 12:30-1:00 is a good time to check it out.

    So, my take aways are...
    - Ivan's and/or 3 Dives for dinner instead of Ricks?
    - the Rum Factory would be a good tour.
    - Is Las Vegas any better than scrub-a-dub or Triple X? We would like to check out a club, but I've been told these two were very rough.
    - We'll be staying at Kuyaba, so that's one of the things on the list from Marco.
    - Mayfield Falls - is this disabled friendly?
    - Get out on a boat

Where should I look for a live concert? We are big into Reggae.

Anything else? 11 days and counting!

I think Rick's is a hoot watching people jump and the pro divers too. We stay a few hours and watch the sunset and then walk (or a very short cab ride) down to Seastar for the Saturday concert. Seastar will then take you back to your hotel for no charge after the buffet\concert.
Mayfiled Falls in not for the disabled.
I'm alwys a proponent of going to Sav early on Friday or Saturday to check out the market. Of course "early" might not be helpful if you are out late partying the night before!

I'm sure we'll be up by noon on at least one of the days we're there, lol. Well, maybe not. ;-)

I've heard that the nightlife really doesn't get going until after midnight, so our general plan to deviate from is to be up by 2pm ..., shop/relax on the beach until late afternoon, catch dinner and the sunset somewhere, head back to the resort for a nap, hit the clubs around midnight until 3 or 4.
