    Red Stripe Dilema

Well, I live in Ontario Canada and I love Red Stripe Beer. I still had a few at home, but a few weeks ago I asked at my local beer store and I was told there was no Red Stripe. I telephoned unsuccessfully a number of times, and nobody answers the phone. Went in again tonight (holiday weekend). No Red Stripe, I asked -"Just tonight or forever"? Well, it was just a young guy behind the counter and he said he thought there was some reason why it can't be sold here anymore. I don't know what I will do.
My sister said she was able to get 6 cans at our local liquor store. They are on again off again, they had it a few years ago and stopped. The same thing goes for Sangsters, but tonight I got some of that. I love Red Stripe, so I hope it isn't true. I need the taste of the island on a hot summer day.

L.C.B.O has 6 packs of stubby bottles for like 13 bucks , you must live in a small town ? cause we can get em where we live.

If you run out of Red Stripe warm up a Budweiser - you'll have the same beer.

Sorry but the only way to drink a Red Stripe is really cold, it kinda subdues the taste.
I may be speaking heresy but I'll take a Heineken over a Red Stripe any day.

Do a side by side tasting and report your results.
That rug really tied the room together.

OK, so in Canada, you have Redstripe in the stubby,s at the LCBO here in Ontario, the cans were brewed under license by Moosehead brewery, and taste way better than the stuff from the island, but I cant find anything if the license agreement is still ongoing?

Our last trip one of the "imported" red stripe I had was labelled as though it was destined for Ontario/Quebec. A quick search of the LCBO site revealed this, so I'd say the license agreement is done, at least for now...

This is just a guess on my part that the product shortage is short-term, while they are changing over to locally-sourced ingredients instead of imports. http://jamaica-gleaner.com/gleaner/2...l/social5.html

I have good news, I went back to the Liquor store here in my little city, and got me some Red stripe. I'm good for the short term. I've tried lots of other beers and they are all not bad, but I love the taste of Jamaica. Takes me home when I have a sip lol
