"Massage board"......wrong forum, that is a sub forum of the Hedo forum....unless there is an adult section here that I have yet to find.

SO....is a massage more comforting/relaxing after ganja? If the show up at your place services go @ $1 a minute like the states, how much does the worker get? Do you get slapped if you ask about a happy ending? Ah f-it massage board stuff is boring.,.......

Lola from my view when us tourist going to A place and see Jamaician people eating subs at a place most wouldn't think of back home but come to think its ok cause the people from the Island are doing right in the open like its the norm. From my going off in the hills with Island friends every place I ever showed up at always seen subs being eaten by Jamaician people. Maybe I don't get out as much as some but when I did subs where always offered as a ice breaker.

Nat Geo seems to have gathered that info from Ras Malekot, a Rastafarian poet and reggae singer and/or the United Cannabis Ministry run by Reverend Steve Cherms.

According to a statistical based website, which was Nominated for Forbes Most Promising Companies List, StatisticBrain.com, Jamaica ranks 20 in Cannabis usage at 9.9%. The US ranks 12 and Canada ranks 13...

    Re: subs

Limo man, Jamaicans call weed many names as do the rest of us, I mean please who have you met that calls it subs other than people of this board??

Also in answer to your comment directed at me, I use a lot of route cars, when I'm there and sometimes a charter as well as drive myself. I don't ask for anything other than a ride, nor is anything else offered. When you say 99% drivers do, that is your perception as you obviously ask them as a smoker. I think your stats are very wild and based on your own experience.

FYI, I am , nor do I look like a church person, or anything other prim and proper . I am a normal woman who carries myself with the same values and respect for me and for others than I do at home. I don't come to Jamaica to smoke as it's readily available in the UK. I dont have a limited view of Jamaica and Jamaicans either. I live in the real world all of the time, I don't need your reality check.

I like ECO,s response in terms of selling crack to a crack head . Some tourists, not all, definitely fit a certain stereotype and that's why you get offered drugs all the time. Your known for buying, and they target you. Some people do get asked a couple of times but after saying no, this dies down.
Most of the places to stay or socialise, recommended on this board by members are full of a particular crowd that do come to Jamaica to get high, and don't have any real experience of Jamaicans outside of the service industry. Again a very limited view as you are in a target market that has been cultivated by tourists as well. Outside of this, life is very different.
I actively avoid these places and that tourist experience.

I think some on this board give very mixed messages, boast about how many times they visit Negril, use Jamaican dialect, say they love it, then are quick to offer a negative stereotypical view of Jamaicans and Jamaica.

    Well said.

As it has been noted before, living in Jamaica (especially "rural" Jamaica) is so different than visiting Negril regularly and hanging out where tourists and locals mix and actively share ganja and other substances.

And furthermore, it seems that some of the frequent and long time visitors have developed that negative stereotypical view and complain when things don't run like they think things should. If you are unhappy with Jamaica (especially Negril) then you should try getting out of the bubble or consider another vacation location.

Jamaica is what Jamaica is. Love it or leave it but you can't change it.

Just my opinion and not based on any cut and paste Google facts.
