    Re: subs

I hope I don't lose my sense of humor or my grasp of reality.

The whole "Negril as a destination thing" is based on the availability of subs.
It started late "60's - early 70's" by sub smoking hippies (hippies who could afford to travel anyway).

I really don't understand the "scolds" who have hijacked this thread.
The OP appeared to be a newbie asking a very fair newbie question.

I don't understand people attempting to shame GerryG.
Free spenders like GerryG make Negril what it is, and Negril's reputation for being open-minded is what draws folks like GerryG.

I also don't understand the negation of ganga.
Peter Tosh: "Legalize it and I'll advertise it."
    Bob Marley: "Wake up and turn I loose . . . "

If Negril ever put the clamps on "sub" indulgence it would destroy their tourist industry.
    Someone refute that please.

I was in Denver recently and I couldn't stop Peter Tosh's "Legalize It" from playing in my head.
The line, "There'll be no more smoking and hiding . . . " really hit me.
In Denver you walk into a store ask for what you want and they give it to you, no shame, no covertness involved.
I wonder if this has impacted Denver's tourist industry?
That rug really tied the room together.
