I figured out how to get around The airmiles restrictions by booking 1 ticket at a time. I got 2 seats on the same flights on the way down. and we have to take different flights on the return. Saving us $1762. now on to booking the hotel 3 months at Westender sounds really good to me. I'll be able to pull out the suitcases soon. Is it to soon for a Mid January role call yet?

Congrats! 3 months? Wonderful! I'm going end of Dec to almost mid Jan on Aeroplan points. Opened 2 new credit cards and got 50,000 bonus points...covered most of it. January roll call sounds good!

Thanks Nikki & Melody, I like your picture Melody I would love to some day see the northern lights. It took a long time for me to work up to the 3 month mark. I was in the right place at the right time a few trips ago and meet some awsome ppl. who we stayed with in there villa, last year. I also signed us up for the Meet the People program and was put in touch with a wonderful young family with 2 great little girls who now works at Westender and she told me about the cabins there , the 2 owners cabins are beautiful and only $1200 per month (if staying for 3 months). They have AC in the bedroom, full bath w. hot/cold water (tub), Cable tv, a open concept kitchen/living area, and weekly house keeping all included as well as the ammenities of the Inn ie. pools, restaurant. And it's very peaceful up there Last year we were close to Canoe Bar so we heard the music from MX3 til some nights until 3 in the am. And all the dogs barking all night long. I need my beauty sleep.
