How much is the boat ride to the Pelican Bar?

went to the Pelican with the old owner Kevin from Bourbon Beach a couple times......
there was a guy with a boat that lived before you got to Parottee......
and it was like $5US each......wi had 5 people one time and 4 the other.....
don't ask mi how to get der........mi don't have a clue as there were a zillion turns....
on your way back to Negril......stop at Cloggy's Restaurant for unbelievable fish.......
very laid back waterfront place....open air.....really nice vibe to the place
and it's very reasonable.....paid like $10US for a Bonita Fish Dinner and a cold Red Stripe beer
it's just south of Black River......the owner and the staff are a riot.......lol

I paid 20 US in April to get out to the bar.

Went last week, weather wasn't so hot but still had a great time. Land transport for 4 of us to Tosh , YS Falls and Pelican was $200 , great driver , road there was frickin nightmare especially with a hangover and out late night before. Tosh was cool but had to sort out an opportunist that was a little too out of line because we were taking pic's and wouldn't "pay him" for that, keep in mind he showed up out of no where from ACROSS the road. YS was just ok, not there fault , water was high due to recent rain and brown runoff, but Pelican was absolute off the charts crazy cool!! We had a blast at Pelican, guys there were awesome cool , spent a few hours there just playing dominoes and chatting would definitely go back , loved it.

I don't know how anyone is getting the boat to the bar for $5 or even $10 unless you have a large group or go there regularly and they know you. Basil wouldn't budge off $20 per person, that was only part of trip that I thought was a little out of line. Beers were $4 per beer. To me this is kind of a bucket list type adventure and trust me there is nothing that I know of like it else where, so I can see the charges per beer. We had a blast. Didn't have any food or mixed drinks so sorry can't help there.

Bring bug spray if you are going to be there toward sunset. Good god, they were bad when we got off the boat last year.

That is an understatement. I do not think I have ever encountered so many mosquitoes at one time. They lit a big fire that smoked the bar out, and it was still bad. I did enjoy getting several set ups at the bar while hanging on the beach there. We had a great time while many went to Pelican.
