Sorry that this thread has taken on this kind of tone, MMoffat.

I think since this board is read by friends/family of this young man....we could be a little more respectful & less judgemental of this horrible tragedy.
Especially since none of us were there & most of us have done things that we are lucky to have gotten out of safely.

I don't think any staff could be trained to a level that could deal with the crush injuries or skeletal injuries this man potentially had.
Also tourists jump of the cliffs at lots of other points in the west end hotels, so how could this be implemented for the whole area?

God bless this young man his friends and family.

Blame won't be helpful, but a proper investigation, review and recommendation for changes will hopefully ensure this doesn't happen again.

Tizzy so agree with you on this, heart goes out to the friends and family in this tragedy. How about we show a little "respect" to the people on the Forum who lost a young beautiful soul way to soon!

sad mon.......mi hate hearing this.......ugh

the ambulance going up to Rick's was almost a daily afternoon occurrence this past Winter....
mi can hear it from mi apt..... and in one five day period mi heard it go by every afternoon around sunset....
hard to believe but tru...some may have been car accidents...but usually it had to do with Rick's
they have more than their share of accidents and being people getting hurt up there......
so mi pretty sure Rick's is fairly prepared for this by now.......

Rick's probably pulls in more money than all the other bars in Negril put together.....
