Well said Shakedown!!!!!!
Well said Shakedown!!!!!!
Thank-You Shakedown.
Accompong,
Yes, you just "shut your trap".
You have been tried and convicted of "poor taste".
By whom, the Negril boardies, the most high and final
arbiters of good taste and from whom all knowledge of good
and evil freely flows.
Shame on you Accompong, you have defied the great boardie
court of the most correct opinions, therefore, shut your trap.
I grew up during the same time and was taught that if you don't have anything nice to say, shut up. You can think these things but you don't openly say them on a oublic forum where it can be hurtful to others that may see it. It serves no purpose than being selfserving, which is not an admirable characteristic trait to have.
LOL I'd say you hit the nail right squarely on the head that time Papa. I for one felt terrible when I heard about the death, but even being an experienced jumper I leave the high one at ricks to the pros and the impaired. I have lost a few friends to stupid things they did while drinking. Do I miss them? Almost every day. But they still acted stupid while impaired. Accompong was stating this same thing, just said far more eloquently. Some people look for anything to complain about. Some people speak from their heart and gut sometimes. Enough said

Papa Georgie... despite your sarcasm, he was not judged by "the most high and final arbitrators of good taste" i.e. Negril boardies, he is being judged by human beings, all of who have faults. He is being judged by mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, people who if they had lost a loved one would consider his comments hurtful. As i stated, not as a high and mighty boardie, but a human being, this is not the time or place for his comments. I am however surprised at your attitude.
Well yes, sarcasm can hurt. So without the sarcasm, Accompong merely did not
follow the boardie herd's taste for mawkish sentimentality. He said that.
He said he looked at it pragmatically. Its a point of view that's all.
All I can say is "WOW" Unbelievable
i may not agree with the way accompoong stated his feelings...but as someone whos been been involved in jam for a lot shorter time than him..(ie hes living there 30 yrs ) there is definitely a different attitude that local jams would think about on such a tragedy... not that a persons life doesnt matter or his family doesnt grieve..because they do feel these things very strongly... Local Jams deal with so much more crime ,senseless death and dying that the avg tourist would never hear about...it puts one death in jam in different light..
I'm not speaking for accompong..and no way taking this young mans death lightly..its a tragedy,,,,but in jam -am sorry to say its just another tragedy....mixed up with the many that happen thru-out that country(murder, rape, assault, thiefing, pedophilla, foreced prositutuon,etc,)-all crimes that so many go without any justice for the victim...
Again, my condolences to this you mans family and friends
