Ice parlor and a few shops. Every night I had a chocolate ice cream cone. Ice cream tastes so much different in Jamaica! They changed the name of the shop from Devon house. They now serve milk shakes, lattes, floats and more. Attachment 37660

My second day begins on June 12, which is Thursday.
I awoke early in the morning, ready to get my day started. I checked my phone and it was 5:30am, I put on my workout clothes, running shoes and walked for almost an hour, then turned around. By the time I was finished it was nearing 7am. No one was out but a few people cleaning up the streets and a few buses shuttling employees to work.
I knew today would be beach day, so I decided on a swimsuit with a simple cover-up. As I looked in the mirror, I knew I would get some attention.One thing about Jamaicans is that they arent afraid to compliment. I got comments from men and women on my hair and how beautiful I was. I don't get that here in the US, so such compliments made me more confident about myself.

I met up with a good friend, had security walk us across the street. I never noticed there was a waterfall outside of Times Square and I posed infront of it.

We were in search of breakfast, but it was soooo early in the morning nothing was opened as of yet. We saw a place across the street that caught our eye and it was opened. We asked what he had, he said acke&saltfish and goat. I felt that was too heavy, so we kept on walking into town.

Decided to catch a taxi into town and see what was open. Up a lane near the ice cream parlor, multiple fruit/vegatable vendors were already set up for the day. Went into a small cookshop, ordered some chocolate tea and an egg sandwich..$300J. It was soo good!

We sat in the cookshop for awhile, just catching up and watching some dancehall videos. It was nearing 9am, more and more people were coming out. Chatted with a few fruit vendors and decided on a slice of watermelon...it was so sweet!

Suddenly, a smell so good hit me. Whatever it was I had to have it!! It was coming from Juici Patties...of course! Went in and ordered 2 vegetable patties and bottle wata.
