Day 3, continued ( Evening and night adventures)
After spending a few hours lounging on the beach, we walk back to our rooms. We noticed the pool was always empty, besides a few stray cats. The cats were sooo cute! I wanted one so bad! They played with us and let us get close enough to pet them before running back to their hiding places.

We took it upon ourselves to test it (the pool) out. There is an outdoor shower near the pool, so we rinsed off all of the beach sand first.
The water in the pool was ironically warm...like hot tub warm. Hmmm...Not sure if it was the sun or maybe it has some kind of heater. Whatever it was felt great! I didn't go in too far, I'm a beginner swimmer...and I'm only comfortable in water that comes up to my stomach.
The pool was clean, clear and not overly chlorinated. Didn't dry out my skin and hair like some pools.

After drying off, we headed back to our room...hoping not to get sidetracked again, lol! We don't have plans written out,we just do whatever we feel like. I knew I had to have my chocolate ice cream cone and it was dinner time. We get dolled up, wave a thumb in the air for a taxi...one instantly pulled over. It was a red plate, asked for him to drop us off on the opposite side of the ice cream shop. We stand on the sidewalk waiting for traffic to let up...its going to take a few minutes. Its friday and payday! Everyone seems to be out in Negril tonight...from tourists to locals. The atmosphere felt electric! We head down firestation road to Jeans. She is beginning to know us by name...her food is cheap but delicious...don't let the prices fool you.
We thank Jean for such a delicious meal, have a quick look at the clothing shops near her place. A pink dress caught my attention. The dress was skintight, crotchless, and bottomless. I was in awe! Or was it shock? Who in their right mind would wear such a thing??! Obviously someone... because a few days later it was gone.
Man, so many people were out and about. Vendors selling panties, bras, socks, soap, condoms, fruits...whatever you wanted you could buy on a friday night! We stop and have ice cream. I got one scoop of chocolate and my friend had rum & raisin. We enjoy our cones all while taking in the sight and sounds. To our left, was a guy playing extremely loud dancehall music from his car, which had flashing lights and rims. To our right was, the porridge guy, lady fruit vendors, and a group of guys showing off their bikes. We finish up and head up by the round about...on our way, we see more vendors.......selling shoes, belts, hats, pots. WOW! You don't see such things back in the states.
I had a sample of his banana porridge, it was the best!

I'm low on funds so we walk to the atms, which have waiting lines. Plus the west-end seemed to be congested. I wondered what was going on. There were about 4 huge tour buses, plus 3 vans holding up traffic. Word is that The buses came from Montego Bay to take guests on a boat ride to Ricks Cafe. Pretty cool! Everyone seemed happy and no one hassled us to buy anything. It was a win-win situation for all!
I go into the atm, load up on jamaican dollars...had to use the currency converter on my cell! boy, it came in handy! My friend guarded the door while I got my cash...can never be too careful! We walk back down past the Cambio, duty free and sit on the sidewalk...yes, the sidewalk. LOL! Over at the ValueMaster, they are having an impromptu parking lot party. The music was making my body move, we walk over and the girls are literally having clothed sex...whoa...not for me. But it was fun to watch.
Since there is a party going on right outside their store, ValueMaster stayed opened 2 hours later than usual. My friend and I took advantage of it and went shopping! We loaded up on spices, water, bulla, spice buns, whatever we could find to take back home!

After shopping, we have a last look at the parking lot party and walk back to Legends. Past the craft market...a few prostitutes offered their services, no thanks! Stop to say hello to the old rasta who sells sugarcane. We got two bags of sugarcane for $200J... One for us and the other to give to the security guards to share. As we neared Legends, the party at Bourbon was just heating up! Vendors were selling soup, jerk chicken, conch, drinks, weed out front. We dropped off our purchases, I fixed my make up and headed to Bourbon.
After Kevin left Bourbon, I had promised not to go again because so many working girls...but hey, I do believe in second chances. We walk up, and I'm instantly swarmed by men...offering their services for the night, tours or just wanting to know me. My friend is my bodyguard...he got them off of me. We go up to the bar, the bartender is a friend of a friend, we exchange fistbumps and he went out of his way to make me a drink that did not contain alcohol. Big ups to him!
We move over the the second bar, sat down and enjoyed the show. The dancers are great! They had me moving along a bit! My friend went to get more drinks, soon as he left, more guys came. LOL! These guys were playing with my hair, rubbing my thigh, asking soooo many questions. One got up in my face so close, that our lips almost touched....yikes! I told them I had a man, didn't need more...they didn't care. They heard my accent and wanted to know more. I silently prayed for my friend to hurry up...and he did. Told them to ***** off...LOL! We continued to enjoy the show until 1am. That's when I called it a night.
End of day 3!
