Good morning,
I'm heading to Negril for a long weekend over Labor Day weekend. Do a lot of folks visit Negril over this holiday or is it fairly quiet? Thanks.

Hi there,
We visited during Labor Day weekend a couple of years ago and everything was as quiet as can be, we pretty much had the beach to ourselves.
Expect some restaurants to be closed as it is low season and hotels may be doing construction/renovations at this time.
Good news is, there is always something to do
Have a great time!

I'll be there and was there last year and was able to get Oceanfront upgrade no charge as the hotel wasn't at it's capacity...and yes it's very quiet but still lots of fun!

Late August and through September are very quiet in Negril which is why I love it. Like rinikim said "Expect some restaurants to be closed as it is low season and hotels may be doing construction/renovations at this time" There are deals to be had, but I like it so much because you can have a lot of beach to yourself. Just make sure you get trip insurance as it is also hurricane season.
Yes, yes, yes.....I love Negril in September as well and will be there September 8-14th. I have been two times times during storms and as stated in my September Roll Call, I still had a good time. From my experience, the latter part of September has always been when I experienced the storms.
Thanks everyone! I know we'll make our own fun regardless. It's only a four night trip this time, but should still be great. I REALLY wish I had more vacation time............
Thanks for asking this, BostonSeth! We just booked our first Labor Day trip and were wondering the same thing! At the end of the day, any day in Negril is a good day, in our opinion!
