I agree, late 80's early 90's it was always the first stop and drink on the beach. Would never venture any further south (toward the river) after dark. The only light beyond that point came from a few lanterns and candles from the small houses back from the water. Still a great place to take a break from the beach at NBCC and have a cold one.
