Wow, what a shame, I was just there a week ago.
we were there this year for breakfast love the restraunt looking out at the sea.Hoefuly on our next trip we will stay there

Um, would that be considered...arson. Just curious.
A guest of CC was staying on the top floor just behind restaurant. They were able to get out but there clothes etc smell of smoke. They were lucky.

How will this impact current and future guests? People love that restaurant and rooms include breakfast. Glad no one was hurt!

They planned to still use that building, perhaps as a beach snack/bar. There was no reason to remove it, unless they wanted totally unobstructed views for the seafront cottages on that side. The view at the moment is not looking good, and won't for a bit. I would hope it wasn't a planned burn, particularly with guests staying so close to it.
