    Donaldson's Inn

I made reservations at Donaldson's Inn for next spring I have never stayed there before thought I would try somewhere different this time. I have stayed on the cliffs a few time and coco a few times. I had a friend that stayed at Donaldson's years ago and said it was nice , I like the fact that it Jamaican owned . Anyone ever stayed there have any input ?

Great location , but the rooms are dark and musty. The patios are small and there really isn't any sort of view...unless of course you have the beachfront room. Don't compare this property with Coco...

Nice long-time Jamaican family owned business. It is just the kind of place that a Jamaican would stay in 'cause it is "roots" and not pretentious. If you want luxury and an umbrella in your drink, look for a more expensive and pretentious place. This is a Budget Travelers place to stay.

"horrible" to one person is just fine to another. I think you need to ask yourself if you want to stay "Jamaican" or like a tourist.

I go to Jamaica to live with Jamaicans in their culture. I find that at Donaldsons.

    Just my personal opinion.

about a 2 minute walk from Negril Treehouse. Across the road from Ossie's Jerk Pork restaurant (Ossie is a Donaldson being one of the sons of Lester and Lena Donaldson). Miss Lena had one of the first schools in Negril (operated out of their house). Mas Lester was a fisherman and a gentleman. I had the privilege of knowing Mas Lester and Miss Lena for many years before their passings. Donaldson's Inn is still owned and operated by the Donaldson family.
