Have they remodeled HSH? I was there in 2002 and had the run of the property - we were the only ones there. It was nice but it didnt leave a lasting impression of a place I would recommend for their honeymoon. Perhaps they have upgraded since then?
No remodeling at the BCC, though they're supposed to have some renovations starting this year. Also, Teddy will be gone by September so no more restaurant, at least that's the word. We'll see. I still love the place, and hesitate to recommend it too much for that reason. Don't want my favorite room booked when we go!
If I'm not mistaken?september is as low season as you can get,I'd offer a couple of the places you mentioned the 70 or 80 bucks and see what happens...
Look into LeMirage, I love it!!!!!!
Wonderful staff, reasonably priced & a great seaside location.

HSH has definitely been remodeled since 2002. I'm not sure they had the pool back then, and if they had a restaurant I don't think it was the current structure that is there now. In addition, the entire resort was given a face lift about a year and a half ago. All of the rooms were repainted and given new fixtures - in addition to 2 new cliffside rooms being built. It looks pretty nice now, but still has a rustic feel. For the price range you mentioned, I think it's definitely a contender.
check out Catcha Gardens - small property, wonderful pool
I've stayed at Samsara three times and really love it...and you can take the shuttle to sister resort on the beach.

I would think that privacy would be a concern on a honeymoon and maybe somewhere like the Westender could provide the seclusion and romantic setting that a newlywed couple would enjoy.
I 2nd the Blue Cave Castle!
