My wife and I met Patrick the first time we came to Negril in the mid 1990's. We were introduced to Patrick by a bartender at the Beach Club at the time and being newbies did not really know the lay of the land. The first time we met Patrick he took us to dinner at Xtabi on the cliffs and when I tried to pay him he told me to pay him upon his return and schooled me to never pay a driver until the return trip. After dinner we waited and wondered whether he would be back but he showed up on time. The next day he took us to Y's Falls, Bamboo Avenue and a few other places for about the same cost as if we would have gone on a bus tour with many others only to the falls and told us of the history, people, culture and plant and animal life on the island.

We made a lifelong friend on that trip and have used Patrick exclusively since then. Now when he sees a tornado has hit Oklahoma on CNN he will call or text me to ensure our safety and I do the same when I see the Rock has been hit by inclement weather.

    I can't recommend him enough.

When we first met Patrick he drove a Lada, an old Russian vehicle that looked similar to the old boxy Volvos. Now he has a 20 passenger bus and provides his riders with a comfortable, clean, safe and friendly environment to see the island. He has certainly progressed during our relationship with him and is a most reliable, courteous and entertaining friend to have on the island.

My wife gets nervous being away from home as she is so attached ot our pets, but a warm embrace from Patrick upon exiting Sangster makes all her troubles fade away and lets her enjoy our trips to the island.

Re: Please welcome Patrick Clarke of Pat's Transportation Service!

We have stayed at one of the (gasp) AI's for several years and rather than take advantage of the free shuttle provided, we always use Patrick to transfer us from MoBay to Negril and back and he has never disappointed and the meager extra cost is worth the personal service and companionship he shows us. Last year we had to cut our trip short as one of our beloved dogs fell ill. An hour after we had re-scheduled our flights to come home early we received the terrible news that our Sadie had passed. We called Patrick about 10 that night to ask if he could re-arrange his schedule to take us back to Sangster early and he was so compassionate and full of sorrow for our plight, but he was there the next morning and endeared us to him even more. He has continued to check in on us, not to make sure we are coming back to use his services, but to make sure we are well.

Much respect to Patrick, no finer person on the island.
