This is Fabian, with for SUNBABY Boat. We certainly welcome the opportunity to host you as our guest on SUNBABY BOAT. We can pick you up from RIU Club for an early morning of fishing or snorkeling at the reef, then a Jamaican-style Island picnic where you can grill your catch.
Our rates are very reasonable, our boat is nice and clean, and our service is impeccable. You are in for a day of memorable fun.
Below is a breakdown with a brief description of your options:
Early morning fishing - You have the option of "strolling" where you can catch the larger fish such as tuna and black fish or you can do "bottom" fishing where you catch smaller fish like grouper.
Snorkeling at the Reef - After fishing, we suggest you go to the reef where our Captain and 1st mate will take you on a personal underwater guided tour that is about an hour. All snorkeling gear and safety equipment are provided.
Happy fishing...

I don't know if fishing Bloody Bay is legal or not. I think some areas of Negril are closed to fishing but I can't say for certain. Having said that, Blood Bay is very shallow with a sand and/or sea grass bottom. It's also very calm which brings in lots of boat traffic and lots of swimmers. Not really a fisherman's paradise. From the shore of the RIU’s, you would have to cast a few hundred meters to find water more than a few feet deep. I’d take Tanya’s offer and arrange to go out in a boat and fish. Support a local fisherman or boat operator would give you as good of a feeling as the fishing itself. Pretty sure you could find a guy that would meet you every morning for an hour or two. You might also consider a trip up into the cliffs where you can cast and jig.
Brownsd54, I agree with you....I do plan to use a local, where-ever I am in the world, there IS one day that I always go fishing...that is my birthday. I take this day to thank my Mother for my life and all she has provided during her lifetime to me. I will be in Negril on my birthdayTxram
I know you're not supposed to fish on the northern end of Bloody Bay, as it is some type of marine reserve (or was). I'd second the cliffs suggestion, and maybe check out the area around Green Island, though a lot of that is a marine reserve as well (but better reef).
