Re: Fishing permitted in Bloody Bay?
I don't know if fishing Bloody Bay is legal or not. I think some areas of Negril are closed to fishing but I can't say for certain. Having said that, Blood Bay is very shallow with a sand and/or sea grass bottom. It's also very calm which brings in lots of boat traffic and lots of swimmers. Not really a fisherman's paradise. From the shore of the RIU’s, you would have to cast a few hundred meters to find water more than a few feet deep. I’d take Tanya’s offer and arrange to go out in a boat and fish. Support a local fisherman or boat operator would give you as good of a feeling as the fishing itself. Pretty sure you could find a guy that would meet you every morning for an hour or two. You might also consider a trip up into the cliffs where you can cast and jig.

Re: Fishing permitted in Bloody Bay?
Brownsd54, I agree with you....I do plan to use a local, where-ever I am in the world, there IS one day that I always go fishing...that is my birthday. I take this day to thank my Mother for my life and all she has provided during her lifetime to me. I will be in Negril on my birthday
