It is with a very heavy heart I contemplate the death of Robin Williams. In my estimation who was a true comic genius and the world has lost a great talent. R.I.P. Robin. You brought so much laughter to our lives!

Robin Williams does have a Jamaica connection. His 1986 comedy "Club Paradise" was filmed in Jamaica.
One of the beach scenes was shot at Fairy Beach outside of Port Antonio...when we were there in 2001 the beach bums were STILL talking about Twiggy!

Robin Williams and Twiggy did make a name for themselves in the Port Antonio area. In 1996/97 I had the great privilege of spending about 6 months staying at the same villa that Robin and Twiggy shared. It was also the home of Tom Cruise and Elizabeth Shue during the filming of Cocktail.
I was friends with the owners of the Blue Lagoon Villas and remain friends with their family. Their generosity was as incredible as the villa! For a blast from the past, please click on the link below!

So sad, so tragic and so unnecessary, if you suffer from depression please seek help from a professional. Suicide is an easy way out for you but so painful for the people left behind. RIP Robin Williams you lit up so many peoples lives, caused so much laughter and to this day put a smile on my face when I think about your performances but my heart aches for you thinking this was your only option.
RIP Robin Williams! As many laughs as he created, obviously his soul was hurting. May his soul now be filled with smiles, laughter and peace. He was definitely one of a kind and will be missed but always remembered. My heart goes out to his family and all that loved him. None of us realize what was going on in his creative mind, sad but who are we to judge. Life has many ups and downs for all of us but for some.....it is just more difficult. May he find peace. What a creative, innovative man!

Yetta I'm sorry if you felt I was judging him by my post, I have lost 2 family members to suicide (one just recently) and I still hurt from the loss. The entire family has guilt thinking about why didn't we or couldn't we help. They leave us behind hurting for a long time and we will never know the level of pain they were in to go this far. I have known, seen and witnessed 6 suicides in my 53 years of existence and it hurts every time I hear of one.
Tanfastic, I didn't feel your post was judging him. I sent you a PM. All is good and hopefully we can one day meet in Negril. It would be my honor. Jah guide and blessings sent.
