To my mind this is the definitive Jamaican movie of it's day.

I saw it in Kingston when it first came out in the early 70s

Based on a true Jamaican story. You may be glad it has subtitles

Jimmy Cliff is outstanding and the music is the best.

I haven't seen it since the 70s, but it would be great fun to see it in Negril.
