    How dead is September?

I expect it to be quiet but how quiet? Am I basically going to be walking down a dark beach past closed bars a km at a time until I pass one of the bigger spots? And if so, any suggestions for go to spots that aren't the obvious?

Lots of places will be closed. There is stuff to do but not as many people.

Saw this on tripadvisor negril board. I've been wondering the same thing. Also wonder if the vendors are gonna be less in number or just more aggressive because of less tourist. I have heard opinions saying both.

Vendors will be more aggressive. Big difference between the busy season... it's worse in September then earlier in the summer as well... they get more desperate... at least that's been my experience.
