AZUL SENSATORI JAMAICA, BY KARISMA
Where is it located in Negril. From pictures it looks like Bloody Bay. Is it all new or another old property re-done?
Never mind ........ did a quick search ............. it is the old Beaches remodeled unscale

Friends are trying to book with their timeshare company. Anyone had luck with that ? ? Is it all-inclusive ? ?
I had similar questions and was going to start a separate thread. Long story short: My parents have a timeshare (with exchange privileges with Interval International). They have one week they won't be able to use, so they gave it to my wife and I. Naturally, my first thought is, "Can I use this timeshare in Negril?" Well, it turns out that there are 2 places in Negril that are affiliated with Interval International - Azul Sensatori and Sunset at the Palms. Both of them require that you purchase their AI plan for $100+ in addition to the timeshare cost. Also, it appears that availability is limited. Basically, these resorts offer up their unsold hotel rooms to Interval, just to fill the space. so, If the hotel is fully booked during high season, there are no timeshares available.
The cost of the AI plan is a deal breaker for me. I'm not going to pay $150/ day just to go out and eat at different restaurants each night. For $150, I can pretty much stay at any hotel of my choice. I thought I read that the Beachcomber Club had timeshares available, but they don't appear to be in the Interval directory. Instead, I am looking at the Jamaica Inn, in Ocho Rios. It's not Negril, but it is regarded as one of the best hotels on the island.
If anybody has any experience with timeshares in Negril or Jamaica, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.
Beachcomber's timeshares were with RCI.....
Generally speaking I don't think RCI people can get in there because normally the people who have timeshares at Beachcomber never exchange them. We have exchanged ours one or twice, but RCI makes you go through hoops. Plus the reason we bought it there was to use it there.
Email me if you want more info.
Soon come!
Papa, that kinda sucks! I would be ticked-off, too if I bought into a timeshare and the resort changed the terms of the agreement. I agree that there is little value in buying the AI plan, for people like us. My wife and I generally eat and drink all day for less than $180.
I figured the Beachcomber was under RCI and not Interval. If I had a timeshare in Negril, I probably wouldn't exchange it too often, either. My parents have a timeshare through Marriott Vacation Club and their "home base" is a nice golf resort down by the Jersey Shore. However, they rarely go to their home base anymore. They prefer to exchange and try out different locations, usually within driving distance. Exchanging with other Marriott resorts is usually pretty easy. Of course, there are no Marriotts in JA, but we can request other Interval properties on the island, if available. (There are Mariotts in St. Thomas and Aruba, but I'm not interested.) I think I will try to get the Jamaica Inn. If that doesn't work, we will just make it a ski trip in Vermont.
I saw Azul when we stayed at Boardwalk Village last year. They were still working on it but it looked very nice. The beach was very nice too. I believe it is AI.
