When Azul management took over they REQUIRED that we take the all inclusive package at $90/day per person. The two of us could almost live on $180 for a week in Negril (though we probably wouldn't want to). So to insure compliance of the timeshare owners, during the last renovation they removed the kitchens from the units! Now our unit is worthless to us.

We consider the Karisma Azul Sensotori management to be common thieves.
Papa, that kinda sucks! I would be ticked-off, too if I bought into a timeshare and the resort changed the terms of the agreement. I agree that there is little value in buying the AI plan, for people like us. My wife and I generally eat and drink all day for less than $180.

Generally speaking I don't think RCI people can get in there because normally the people who have timeshares at Beachcomber never exchange them. We have exchanged ours one or twice, but RCI makes you go through hoops. Plus the reason we bought it there was to use it there.
Email me if you want more info.
I figured the Beachcomber was under RCI and not Interval. If I had a timeshare in Negril, I probably wouldn't exchange it too often, either. My parents have a timeshare through Marriott Vacation Club and their "home base" is a nice golf resort down by the Jersey Shore. However, they rarely go to their home base anymore. They prefer to exchange and try out different locations, usually within driving distance. Exchanging with other Marriott resorts is usually pretty easy. Of course, there are no Marriotts in JA, but we can request other Interval properties on the island, if available. (There are Mariotts in St. Thomas and Aruba, but I'm not interested.) I think I will try to get the Jamaica Inn. If that doesn't work, we will just make it a ski trip in Vermont.
