Troublemaker_420 - what a great way to spend your 10th anniversary!! Seastar is a GREAT place with top notch staff!! Enjoy the sun, sand & subs.

I too would like to see a few photos and trip report, so that I can live vicariously through you. My husband & I arrive in Negril on December 20th (so still a wee bit away).

    Have FUN!!

I guess this is too late for Troublemaker, but for others with tight connections in ATL...

Don't sweat the layover too much. We once made a 43 minute connection on a Saturday. We even had to go nearly the entire length of the airport to get from where we deplaned to the international gates. Like, jojo said, the tram (known as the APM for "Automated People Mover") is quick and efficient. I do have to admit to a sigh of relief as we sat on the plane and saw our bags on the tarmac waiting to be loaded. I was more concerned about our bags not making it than us missing the connection.

    Re: Tomorrow!

Today is quite possibly mmy last full day in Jamaica. I say "possibly" because, as I type this, my wife is pleading with Delta to change our flight by one day, so we'd leave Wednesday. I'm NOT ready to go home....the week has been amazing in every regard. Did YS Falls, Black River, the Pub crawl, and of course checked out the Seastar's show Saturday night....AMAZING, all of it. The staff here at Seastar has went above and beyond to make our anniversary trip a special one, and has assured us that we've made the right choice in lodging. This truly has been one of the best weeks of my life, and even though I'd been before and thought I understood the idea of " Jamaica addiction"....this week has taken that to whole new levels. One thing is for certain, I'll never waste a week of precious Negril time at an All inclusive again. This was a far different trip than our honeymoon, but far more rewarding and soothing on the soul....

Had to chuckle a little when I read this. I feel for you, Troublemaker_420.

I thought I was prepared for just a week when I first visited in '83 but I soon realized that it just wasn't enough. I tried to make changes but the cost was just too much.

It did, however, make me wiser for my next visit and the scores and scores of visits thereafter. Your itinerary seems like a perfect introduction to Negril and Jamaica so now you know.

Jamaica has a lot to offer people who are willing to explore. I am pretty sure you are planning your next visit right now.

I am heading back for a few months soon and I always get that same feeling (as you put it) "rewarding and soothing on the soul...

Yayyyyy a happy return! A short layover TO Jamaica is not a problem; they move luggage same way as a domestic flight. Its on the Return that you need to allow time to get thru US immigration, baggage retrieval and Customs, 1.5 hours has been adequate for me.

LOL...well....you only live once right? checked my work schedule at home, and I was off til friday...and lo and behold...Delta only wanted pennies above the mandatory $200 change fee....so we didn't extend by a day....we extended by two to make it worthwhile!!!!!!!
