While the experience was harsh, I would have to guess it's not rare. If the servers are accountable for their tabs, as many restaurants in the States are, I can see them overreacting. Your bill was probably more than the workers take home for the week. Do I agree with it, hell no......... However, I would look at it from their perspective as entry level employees. It's obviously a situation that they should be better prepared to handle since the lines are down quite frequently.

Hope Misti you can get the bad taste out of your mouth and reflect on the positives of your trip. The time you have spent defending yourself here could be better spent IMHO. Check out from this one.........

This really was good advice, but ........Also I had a bad incident in the beginning of my trip and then this one , the three months in between were bliss. My friends are privy to the great trip I had. It's the real world has its ups and downs

people on this forum are overly defensive of negril and all things pertaining to it. Obviously your experience their was bad and pretty much unacceptable, maybe if people didn't have biased opinions about negril they would be willing to admit that truth

Whether you live there or visit there I would think you can give your impressions of a place you have eaten or an attraction you have visited if you learned to read and write in school. The subject here is reviews and one that it seems many of you can't stomach.

It's not the bad review, it's the delivery of that review and the way you talk to people. I have no special affinity for Xtabi.

I can only feel gratitude at this thread - that this horrible incident didn't culminate in one of those millions of shootings that happened on the West End this month. (tongue in cheek response to what I see as more over reaction)
