I think in his response to the first part of the story that was an appropriate response by the owner. I did not get to post what happened the next morning (which was where I thought it really went wrong) because Trip Adviser will not let you post on the same location until 30 days later, and that is if you have visited the place again. So Mr. Preble was not addressing the part the following morning when things went really bad.
