I agree Captain. I go exactly for 90 days at a time and just more frequently. I had a chance to get Residency back in 96 and decided against it. I love living in Jamaica but there are down sides for me that just make the 90 trips a better option. First, I have complete FREE health care as a Military Veteran here in the US and secondly; Jamaica has some limitations on what is available to purchase there.
It is easier and more cost effective for me to come back to So. Florida and work for a month or two while surf purchasing from the Internet for goods to ship home. Where I live in Accompong Town there is not a 3G or 4G coverage (a weak 2G mostly) so Internet access is not the daily advantage I have here.
I also feel that some people think that living in Jamaica fulltime year round is great. I like slow but, in Jamaica, a day can sometimes be longer than 24 hours psychologically. Before you spend those big bucks to jump into the water of Jamaican living, you should consider all your other alternatives first.
David. Talked to the camping guy today and he will be contacting you and Linston. I will be home by the weekend.
