we are scheduled for late november and we are going. it is kind ok like not going to a foreign because of a murder, or terrorist action. you need to go on your trip and have a good time. we can not terror or fear rule our lives. while traveling be careful, you are allow to carry 3oz liquid. take alcohol based hand cleaner, clean hands regular, clean toilette seat, faucet or door knob before you touch. be aware of people and travel safely. you can still go on your trip and have fun just take a few extra precautions.

relax and have a good time

Not trying to diminish the seriousness of this catastrophy in any way and hope a resolution is at hand to stop the suffering being caused. Having said that , what would be the odds that you would come in contact with an infected person ,that has gone thru the incubation period , but can still travel and somehow be exposed to their body fluids. I'd really appreciate any insight from someone with a medical background. After all we are discussing traveling to jamaica not West Africa

The problem is not Jamaica. It is that you are on airplanes with people who are from all over the place.
I was just there and had gone through Miami coming and going. I must say that I was extra aware of people around me and I know others were too.
You have to be more aware since no one seems to have a clue about this and the US insists on just swinging the doors open and saying come on in!
    Soon come!

I still have to fly on business next week, so I sure wouldn't cancel our December trip to Negril!!.

The media is doing its best to scare people, as usual.

No plans to cancel flight in December. I have gone with a broken foot before...it would take a lot for me to cancel. Have already taken my flu shot and that is always a concern. Regarding Ebola, the odds are miniscule compared to the flu. Good handwashing protocol and common sense goes a long way. I am not going to let fear rule my life. Hurry up December!!!!!!!!!!

I saw something on the news yesterday that one of the Caribbean Islands (I think St. Martin) was not letting planes fly into their country from any country with ebola. They did not say specifically but the US has a few cases. Does that mean no visitors from the US to St. Martin? Can't imagine Jamaica would lose all that business because of a few infected individuals

We are flying through Atlanta in December. Fear of catching Ebola never entered my head. I agree with Yetta. I would be more concerned about flu than Ebola. We always get our flu shots well in advance of our trip.
