    Daytrip from Montego Bay

    Hi All,

Planning a 10th trip to Jamaica in November. I usually travel to Negril but will be tagging along on a friends vacation to the Royal Decameron Beach Resort in Montego Bay for this one. I would like to take my friend on a daytrip to Negril with the intention of spending the day on the beach, and have dinner at the cliffs and go back to MoBay afterward. The one other time I was in Montego Bay I considered doing the same but ended up backing out of the idea when I was quoted prices for the drive out there and back. Plus, the driver wanted to stay with us for the entire day and return us by 6 pm which would keep us from having dinner on the cliffs.

We have not been back to Negril since before Alfred passed, and he used to always be our driver. Can someone here recommend the best way for two ladies to take this day trip for cost effectiveness, comfort and security? I can grab my own taxi from the beach to the cliffs so we don't really need anyone hanging around with us for the entire day.

    Thanks.

    Maya

Wayne Irving. (876) 374-8602. Just tell him Tony told you to call. Great deal and beyond secure. And he won't bother you all day!!!

check Knutsford Express bus schedule - maybe one way with them and one way with a private driver (the night portion).

I probably wouldn't do the Knutsford shuttle, as you're going to be limited on time and there are much quicker means of getting from A-B.

I can overstand your dilemma. Alfred was a wonderful guy! We all miss him. You might consider Kingsley. Good friend of Alfred's and long time driver. Great guy and dependable. Also Linston, Captain's son. I believe both are on the Negril list. You could not go wrong with either. I could trust my wallet with either of them..and both respectful to ladies. Good luck and have fun!

There are tour agents @ Royal Decameron that could help you arrange a transfer. Juta or tropical tours might be another option.
