NYE Dinner

Hi Folks! This will be my 4th trip to Negril and 8th to Jamaica, but never been during New Year's Eve. Past visits, we walk along the beach and pick something that looks good. For New Year's, should I make reservations for the 4 of us? We're not doing AI and I'd like to go mid-price, good food, maybe along the beach. We're considering Charela Inn or something similar.

If you go to a more low key place, I've never had a problem on NYE. However, the more upscale places..which I would consider Charela's dining, I would call and make a reservation. Same at Ivans, Rockhouse, etc. Better to be safe than sorry. Maybe we will run into each other! Spending Christmas and New Years in Negril. It is always perfection!

Just be aware that on New Year's Eve, traveling between the cliffs and beach can take a LONG time. Many place offer rides but quite late that night.

I will also be in town for new years and am searching desperately for what events will be going on cant find anything anywhere.

I'll be at Travellers NYE "gala". Dinner, champagne at midnight and live music as well as dj. I think $30 pp. They also pick up and return to your hotel for those staying elsewhere. I think they start selling tickets beginning of Dec. haven't been before but sounds good.

Cool!! I'll keep an eye out for ya! Mainly hang on the cliffs but still spend time on the beach. NYE, probably will hang on the cliffs unless something major comes up on the beach..cause as they said, it is truly a ***** to travel Norman Manley late evening on NYE.
