    Vape Mats and Heater

I've rarely been seriously bothered by mosquitos in Negril, but have been tormented by sand fleas a couple of times. Reading some of the posts on chickungunya, I saw a reference to this product in the NY Times. The mats are soaked with an insecticide/repellent. You place one in the heater and it works for 8-10 hours. Insecticide in the room and repellent on the balcony. Any experience with it? Can it be purchased in Negril or Mo'bay and if so where?

Leave it to the Captain to have the knowledge. I'm guessing that TSA would frown on having enough in my checked bag for 38 nights! Is it available in Jamaica?

We bought the vape machines and mats a few years ago at the grocery store at the end of the beach road by the roundabout. They had them when we stayed at Country Country and they worked so well we bought one when we stayed at JahB's and the misquitos were bad. I am not sure how well it would work for a balcony though. It was about $7.00 US
You can also get them on Amazon for a little more money

Thanks, Prism. I want to avoid bringing what I can get in Jamaica. The best foreign aid is the aid we dispense!
