Thank you Vi. That is a truly wonderful trip report . I was on the island only 10 months ago; but your report makes me miss Jamaica so much that it seems like so long ago.
The photos are wonderful. I want a cheese omelette and fried plantain!
Ethiopian apples! Wonderful treat. Had one at a farm in St. Elizabeth one year. Exactly as you describe.
Your accounts of interactions with the people is a so honest and true. Naygreel much more high pressure than Port A, nah true? We've all been there.
Anyway; thanks so much for making this Friday evening in chilly Canada a little bit warmer.

I want to take time to say thanks Vi, Your trip reports keep me engaged and give me the feeling of being with you while your in Jamaica. I also appreciate your time to respond to everyone's post. You do not need to post pictures of yourself to know you have a good heart and a beautiful person.
I agree! She is one of the best writers on this site.
Vi you are the best!
That was really nice and has me wanting to get to Portland in 2015. Lots of beautiful places in your photos but my FAVE was the enormous bull, what a magnificent animal!
Thanks so much Sammy. LOL @ fan club. Going to try to rap the report up this week. A little sad coming to the end of this one HOWEVER the one on the way will hopefully be epic!!!
Yetta – thank you and I wish you much fun and safe travels on your up coming reach.
Thanks for your sweet words Big_Frank. I can smell those apples now and oh how I crave cheese omelets when I’m there. YES, big difference between the two parishes. I’m always guarded when in Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, but thought I could walk like grown folks in Negril. I saw I needed to be re-educated on the runnings.
Butterfly, babygirl!!! You know you hold a special place in my heart.
I appreciate the compliment Kaycee. Means a lot knowing my ramblings make a little sense to some.
Thanks bunches LadyP. BTW I really like your board name.
Thanks Lola. You will see plenty of cows and bulls on that ride to On the Rocks beach. That was the first time seeing one so close to the road. It was a startling treat. I do hope you can make it. Should be an easy plan now that Knutsford has put Portland on their schedule.
Vi, you are truly the best...I don't even bother going to any other forum. Now that you are going to Negril I will now do a search in Portland and Negril Forum.![]()
awwwww sweet summer! My reports aren't the same unless you are with me!!!! I made it back to Negril again, but you know my heart is still devoted to Portland so yes, definitely keep your eye on both.
Your trip report was so nice, I read it twice! Thank you!
And Lawd have mercy, 18 days until I'm pon di rock for 18 days!
