Angry Think I'll try the long walk. Treehouse to Bar B Barn (for old guys like me)

There was the brightest taxi I have ever seen in Jamaica.
    All yellow.
Doors, Bumper top and sides. All yellow.
    Beep! Beep!
    I stuck my hand out.
There was someone up front and 2 guys in the back.
I made it a full house.

"Hey Mon, let me know when we get to the Tree House'

    "Yeah yeah mon"

I was taking note of all the places we passed.
Hmmm, Tree house is further than I realized.
Walked it many times, but did not realize it really is a trek.

My driver slowed up, came to a halt. I handed him the 120J and hopped out.

The Tree house is setup pretty cool.
An open air type reception area, couches and some folks on the laptops.
Outside I passed the cooking area.
"You ready mon!" said a very lively chef.

He is set-up, outside surrounded by bench type seating.
"No not now my man" I said.
"Get ready, go for a swim, you will be hungry then" he said.

So true, swimming always makes me hungry as can be.

I passed him and pulled up at the next outdoor bar.
    "Red stripe please"
Sucked that down in no time and started the walk.

It was hot, but I was cool.

"hey mon, blah, blah. "Yo homeboy", blah blah
I just smiled and waved them off.

I told the ones walking that I was fine.
I continued passing all the places, just checking out their beach side, taking mental notes for later.

I reached Tony's Hut and pulled in.
I was ready for a cold one, and baby, they were ice cold!

There is a very lively bartender there too, forgot her name, darn it.
But she had me laughing in 2 minutes. Great conversationalist.

I stayed there about 20 minutes and pushed on.

I made it to Bar B Barn and made it to the road.

Crossed the road and saw a huge Heineken Truck.
I started to ask the guy "how much for a case", but he was sweating bullets
    unloading, so i kept on.

    Made it to my room.
It's still early, so I'll go get a chicken meal and rice and peas.

    Later.

Love the post, Marko. Love the Treehouse, too! Funny, but I ALWAYS walk the beach and rarely pay attention to the road side. I guess that I should be looking at the beach from the road as well. Oh, well... thirteen more sleeps and I'll check it out.
