    Lest we forget

    In memory of those who walked our streets and never came home;

    In memory of those who served, returned, and who are no longer with us;

    In honour of those who came back and grace us with their continued presence;

    For all of these heroes;

    And in the hope of a day when such service and sacrifice are no longer needed.

    Please dedicate a pittance of your time today, and REMEMBER.

    It's the least we can do.

    Thanks, Dad, to you and your crew for keeping us safe and free. And for telling me all your stories. Maybe, without your bravery and dedication to our beliefs, I would not today have what I have, including Jamaica, Negril, and all these friends.

    In Flanders fields the poppies blow
    Between the crosses, row on row,
    That mark our place; and in the sky
    The larks, still bravely singing, fly
    Scarce heard amid the guns below.

    We are the Dead. Short days ago
    We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
    Loved and were loved, and now we lie
    In Flanders fields.

    Take up our quarrel with the foe:
    To you from failing hands we throw
    The torch; be yours to hold it high.
    If ye break faith with us who die
    We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields.

    Let us hope neither we nor our children need to take up that quarrel.

    Nice! Happy Veterans Day to everyone that has served or is serving in the military! My Dad is 89 years old and served in WWII and is still alert, sharp and alive. He may have to use a jazzy chair yet his life is still vibrant and full of stories. Respect to all and thanks to everyone that remembers those that risked their lives for our freedoms.
