Anyone have any recommendations for an interesting stop between Mobay and Negril? Lucea looked interesting but didnt know if there was anything worth checking out there? Open to all suggestions. Thanks. Travelling in Feb.

Food stops are generally a priority with me. Scotchies is a great place to eat. Not exactly between Mobay and Negril...but a few miles the opposite direction from the airport. In Lucea there is a little local spot that is rather interesting and good, cheap local food, called Tapa Top Food Hut. Of course the infamous Bigga's along the roadside. In reality, any stop along the way is interesting to me!!! Soon come.............Have fun in Feb. Great month to visit. Hope you are in town for the Marley B'day music celebration pon da cliffs. Always a great time!!

Lucea has a market on Friday and Saturday, but it is not near as large or interesting as the Sav market.
Rockland Bird santuary is a nice stop in Anchovy.
Half Moon beach is nice, but by that point you are almost already in Negril.
Regards,
Bob
Take the Anchovy road route and enjoy some beautiful Jamaican coutryside with not an ocen to be seen.
Stop at Border Jerk and have some fantastic pork or chicken.
You'll come thru Sav-La-Mar on your way to Negril. It's the parish capitol.
Call Linston (www.redplate-negril.com) for the ride.
Here's a 12 minute video of the of the trip. It takes about 2 hours in real time.

Very informative video Captain. I will visit Jamaica for the first time in two weeks and you gave some insight to the Jamaican countryside.
