    Beach Hangout Spot

Headed down in 2 weeks with the college aged nephews, staying on the cliffs, but want to send the boys to the beach for the day.

Been over a decade since I hung out on beach side; used to stay at NBC and tree house and hang out at Mark's Hurricane Bar and De Buss (both long gone).

Where on the beach do the cool kids hang out these days?

I think they would like Margaritaville. Free to hang out, wifi, loungers & umbrellas. Lots of action. Food & drinks are expensive. Bourbon Beach since it's been revamped. Alfred's was a cool spot because of the volley ball net. Folks play VB each time I hung out there.

Although it's not free, Cosmos is an option.

You could try Bourbon or Sun Beach.

I agree with Tony's Hut! Our "kids" (18 and 19) loved it there this past April. Milton was the bartender, and he was a lot of fun! There's all kinds of different board games to play there - connect 4, shut the box, checkers, etc., which we all had a good time playing.

    I gotta ask ...
Is it "just me " or are there others who wonder ...
why do people go on vacation ...
& worry ..if they are going to have wifi or not ...
seriously, I go away to be disconnected
No phone /internet/TV ..It's called a vaction for a REASON
To relax & free your mind, body & soul

I dont think college aged guys care about board games. As much as it pains me to say it, send them to m.ville, That's going to be the most action on the beach during the day, I think.

Being a small business that shuts it's doors for vacation and with clients that may require continuous service, I simply can't totally disconnect. For us WIFi is an absolute must. Others may just be hooked on it for reasons I can't relate with. I only wish I wouldn't need to log into the server to check emails that require remote service. Just not the case here.
