Mi deh pon street again.
Just got back home last night from a 9 day trip and had one of my best trips, yet. I will be back later to post some pictures, but just wanted to leave you all with a few observations.
- The weather this time of year is great! The rainy season is largely finished, but the temps are hot during the day and cooler in the evening.
- Most places were open, after being freshened up during the off season. Canoe and Mi Yard look good. Pee Wee's was getting a new thatch roof and I saw Elvis at No Limit most nights, so not sure if they were open yet. Only a few places that I wanted to visit were closed, such as Spyda's Bar and and Hungry Lion.
- On The Rocks has re-opened with more focus on the restaurant and less on the bar. Although they had a DJ the night we were there, we found the dining area on the water's edge to be comfortable. They have several cozy cabanas to eat in, which are very cool. We were the only ones there so we got to pick our own cabana. Not sure if there is a reservation process when it gets busy. The Jamaican menu (with a couple pasta dishes) was very good. They even had drink specials.
- Believe the Hype - Pablo's is awesome!
- Tony's Jerk Barrel (next to No Limit) has some of the best late night grub.
More to come...
