Well, at least you have those choices... we don't. Closest airport serviced by SW is Milwaukee, but they don't fly JA direct (via BWI and MCO). Jet Blue? No way, unless we change airline from east coast. Sucks living in the hinterlands....

First class does not charge for the first two or three bags, depending on the airline.

I look forward to the day Southwest connects from the West Coast. They do provide service to Cancun and that might sway some folks away.

Driving to Atlanta tonight to try out Southwest for the first time,the savings paid for our hotel in Negril and a hotel in Atlanta at each end of the trip.Hope they are as good as everyone says!

I am pretty sure you still will get a free bag on Caribbean Airlines, I use them NYC - MBJ.

We took SW from Reno to Fort Lauderdale then had to fly Spirit...Never again paid $130 for our two bags that can't be over 40lbs each, then coming home yesterday we had bought something that wouldn't fit in our check in bag and I had to give sad face, cause they told us we couldn't take as a carry on cause it was to long, it weighted all of maybe half pound. On the way to MBJ they changed our gate 5 times, it was a mess for sure.

Spirit is the worst airline operating in the US. I will never, ever, ever fly Spirit for any reason. It's a shame, they used to be a good cheap option from Michigan to FL, but they're a bunch of greedy *******s now.

You guys are so lucky to have choices. Being from a small state and airport...local airport..USAirways...drive an hour, Delta. Prefer my local airport with great connections in Charlotte. Baggage fees...oh yeah. The only choice for flying to Jamaica, unless I want to drive 2-3 hours, spend the night, park the car, eat...so it goes, just not worth all that effort and cost. Gotta take what the good Lord gives me and be happy with it! I am happy for those that do have many choices. We do have Allegiant for cheap flights to Myrtle Beach, and several spots in Florida. They do nickel and dime you to death, but the prices are really good along with fees for damn near everything. LOL
Soon come Negirl................ I am thrilled that I do have an opportunity to fly to MoBay with only one stop. Blessed!
