Anybody have recent pictures of the area (old restaurant/bar) that burnt? Would like to know if the area has been cleaned-up or is it still fenced? There was also talk that there is a beach bar being built? Can anyone confirm?

It was still fenced as of 4 weeks ago...

End of October...
went there for lunch this week. New restaurant is nice and food is good. New bar was getting ready to open this week
the old restaurant is fenced off behind a painted wall. I think the burnt down building was removed. Was nice there and would go back again

Great photos ............. how come they are not posted in the great "beach sand debate" postings? It would freak out the "sky is falling, the oceans are rising" crowd. Look at how much sand is in front of the Tree House bar ! ! More then a few trips one had to walk in knee deep water to get around that bar.

Yes, It's amazing in two years the difference in the size of the beach.
Just returned from our first stay at Country Country. The beach is wide and beautiful, the new restaurant is adorable and still great breakfast and love the new upstairs wi fi lounge area. The new bar was not finished yet but looked really nice and will be a great addition to the property. The new pool is small but beautifully done as is the new washrooms and shower by the pool. The grounds were impeccably kept. The STAFF WAS AMAZING!!! Very enjoyable stay
