Interesting article in the Observer. Hopefully speeds things up upon arrival????

Norman Manley too. If you have the time / interest flying into Kingston is a breeze, very big terminals little waiting.

Thank you for the link. Would appreciate knowing if they speed things up. We arrive on a Sunday around 2.20pm and there are 12 other flights landing between 1.40pm and 2.40pm. Still trying to decide on Club Mobay for arrival.

Report from Linston's airport pickup today........

The wait was very long. This is the busiest time at Sangster. There are as many Jamaicans coming home or more than visitors.

GET CLUB MOBAY if you don't have two hours to spare. You must book 48 hours before arrival

We get in next Friday with just about amount of flight at the same time......

We really don't mind the wait

we got in Friday afternoon, it was not bad at all. Glad we didn't do Club Mobay this time, we decided it would have saved us only 10-15minutes at most this time.

is it typically slower after that time of day? I've checked the flight tracker for sundays, but its a bit early, as we don't get there until Feb 15 and leave Feb 22. Both our arrival and departure are later than that. 430 and 525, most of the flights are done by that time. Def don't want to wait for two hours and would do mobay if that were the case. Any thoughts?

You should be just fine for those dates and times.

Back in the 70's planes landing in JA boarded and de boarded right on the tarmac (blast furnace getting off the plane), terminals had no AC's just ceiling fans, I remember sweat just dripping off me. Granted fewer arrivals, Customs & Immigration were a cinch, they never checked baggage. Even if you had a line it wasn't too bad. I have flown my last 8 or 10 trips into Kingston mostly because I have friends there but 2) with the road systems in place in JA now driving (getting a transport) From Kingston to to Negril isn't a huge problem. I for sure don't want to take business away from all who work in MoBay (whatever their job) just saying that they really over built Norman Manley Airport to the point it is often close to empty compared to Sangster.
