pay to jump off cliffs at Rick's?

I have jumped multiple times. But last year I saw a couple people get ****ed up, I decided I was done. Could really put a damper on your trip.

Never again is right! The lifeguards rescued me and I recovered but I was black and blue all week. I also bit my tongue and bruised my chest badly. Not worth the risk!

I have heard that many have died there over the years. Was warned off by a reputable west end tour bus operator. He personally fished out a knocked out tourist from Escape.

I jumped last year from the higher cliffs. There is a platform there and as long as you jump out you shouldn't have a problem. I strapped my GoPro to my chest and off I went. I've watched the video at home a few times, it's pretty cool. Having said that I will not do it again probably because now that I've done it I've had the thrill. There are different heights at Ricks all with platforms so you can choose which is best for your experience. A word of advice: don't be liquored up when you do it and you should be ok.

I don't know about the money aspect; but I have witnessed someone getting hurt. A young woman who won her trip to Negril with our radio station in 1998 jumped. She had a dark purple bruise from the middle of her left leg, all the way up her side and back. She recovered but it ruined her trip and was very very painful.

Why would you attempt a physical feat if you are not capable and where the consequences may put your health at risk? On the other hand, what a rush diving from the high point!
