Opinions needed: Pros and Cons of starting reach on Cliffs or Beach

Thinking of starting on cliffs, finishing on beach this spring. Never stayed on the beach. Your thoughts?

We prefer the opposite, we start out on the beach and finish up on the cliffs.
We love the hustle and bustle of the beach and it is go, go go,
On the cliffs it is nice and relaxed and you can decompress for a few days before heading home.

Either way though, you can't go wrong ....... you will be in Negril afterall

Yeah I would have to say the same. Depends on how you want to begin and end your trip. We rent a condo on the beach with a kitchen so we chill fairly well there but the fun is only 70 strides away. I like going to the cliffs for the food and the bars.....haven't stayed there yet. But I am sure one of these trips we will give it a shot.

Flip a coin Since you already know the cliffs, you may want to start on the beach, knowing you have the cliffs to look forward to.

We just normally stay on the beach and then hang out at Xtabi all day on the Cliffs. Seems to serve it's purpose. You can reverse it and get a day pass at Coco La Palm.

If you can't tell by my name, I'm a cliff girl!!!

I decided to split my stay over the holidays, 4 days on the cliffs, then 3 on the beach.
I loved the beach on NYE!!!! Other than that, I really missed the chill of the cliffs.

My fav thing about my beach stay, my late night stop @ Smokey Joe's jerk stand!!!
    2 nights in a row!!! lol Yum-meeee!!!
Can't do that on the cliffs!

I generally go to the cliffs to acclimate first, then the beach. Otherwise, the beach hustle bustle can be overwhelming til you get your JA legs!

But, if you go to the beach first & you aren't crazy about it-then you still have the comfort of the cliffs at the end of the trip.

    Decisions, wonderful decisions!!!

We've done the split both ways and both times we missed being on the beach. I like the constant parade of people and love going on long walks. Works ok for us as long as we stay somewhere quiet to escape the madness.
