LOL, The cake lady. She was a teacher at a girls college and her son worked at one of the big newspapers in the states. I don't think he still does since so few are reading papers anymore. She is a lovley lady and sells till late at night then goes home and bakes for the next day. Her cake is wonderful and like most of the beach vendors she works very hard.
Miss Herman.... A legend on the beach. We look forward to seeing her every year. My favorite is her pineapple upside down cake and her banana bread.
